 The ol' fireplace is gone...

all that's left is the base....

 and a pile of rubble.

The hall bath is ripped out too.

The walls, being stucco, posed a challenge.  It's much heavier and tougher than drywall.

Underneath the back deck was a concrete patio.  That needs to be removed now too.

 Deck rubble.

 Fireplace rubble

 More fireplace rubble and...

the hole where the fireplace stood.

All the ceilings are removed.  You can now see through to the inside of the roof.

From the living room looking through the wall to the family room.

Pipes above the ceiling that were part of the original heating.

The hall bath.  The bathtub and toilet were once there.

From the kitchen looking into both the living and family rooms full of fireplace rubble.

One of those soldiers is laying down on the job!
Four toilets from the four bathrooms waiting to be released from duty.  Left to right, hall, master, pantry, upstairs.

The left side of the house.  The plywood is to indicate where the new windows will be.  There is a problem with the placement of the gas meter and the window.  There must be 18" clearance.  We're working on a solution.
