Sept 26: Gable vents and chimney

The roof might be going on this week.  We're trying to figure out downspout locations and sizes.  We also went over to United Marble and Granite (UMG), our granite fabricator, and found that the slab for our island was cracked... Ugh.  Back to MS International to find another slab.  We also picked out new counters.  While we were at UMG we took some pics of the backsplash granite.

The kitchen backsplash granite.  This will be cut so that we get the most interesting part behind the cooktop (we hope).  The rest will be pieced together to make a complete backsplash.

Looks like the main is getting some major cables installed.

The living room gable vent is installed.

The other two vents are also now installed.

The wall behind the washer and dryer.  The dryer vent is installed.  The plumbing for the washer is installed.

The bathroom fans are installed.  This is the girls fan.

This is the chimney chase to surround the fireplace vent.  It's still under construction.

The second story roof is also being replaced.  This is unfortunate since the roof was only ~18yrs old, but there was so many holes added and it would look different from the rest of the house.
